Peru Tours 16 days 15 nights. This trip will take you to discover the wonders of Peru, we will visit cities of the coast, knowing its customs and traditions, we will visit its main attractions in Peru, we will enjoy its gastronomy, and most importantly, it will be a new experience in your life.
We will know ancient cultures of Peru, visiting and knowing their legacy We will know the enigmatic lines of Nazca, not yet deciphered by modern science. Arequipa known as the white city, beautiful in all its corners, for its buildings the white volcanic stone ashlar was used. Arequipa, home of the Santa Catalina convent of the 16th century. Near the city is the spectacular Colca Canyon, the most famous place in Peru, to observe the flight of this enigmatic ancestral bird.
The deepest canyon on earth. The next stop is the highest navigable lake in the world: Titicaca. Continuing we will arrive at the magical city of the Incas and capital of ancient Peru, the city of Cusco. Here we will enjoy all its splendor and also the magical Inca City Machu Picchu in Peru.

Itinerary
Day 01: Lima – Historic Center.
Arrival at Lima airport, (we recommend arriving in Lima in the morning) our Pacha Expeditions transferist will receive you at the airport who will have a sign with your last name Transfer to the hotel in the exclusive area of Lima there you will meet the leader of your tour and the other members of the group for an information session prior to the tour.
This afternoon, your leader will take you on a walking tour through the historic center of Lima, including the city center. Surrounded by streets of ornate mansions, churches and colonial palaces, the Plaza Mayor is the best place to start any exploration of Lima. Take a walk through the oldest streets of Lima, to get an idea of colonial life. Next to the main square is the Cathedral of Lima, which houses the remains of the founder of Lima, Francisco Pizarro. We will visit the monastery of San Francisco. Recommendation: Do not accept the services or interact with people who do not have proper identification and who are not from the company.

Day 02: Lima – Paracas Reserve.
We will have breakfast at the hotel, and then a brief orientation before starting the guided tours of Peru. We will travel in our private transportation for three hours south of Lima (Paracas reserve). Arrival and installation at the selected hotel.

In the afternoon, we have other options, excursion to the Paracas National Reserve. Here we will visit several important places that show the natural history of the Paracas reserve and also the ancient culture of Paracas – PEN 70.00. (Optional)
Day 03: Ballestas Islands – Nasca.
Here we will have the transfer to the port to board the boat to the Ballestas Islands. These spectacular islands, eroded with many caves and arches, provide shelter for thousands of birds and hundreds of sea lions. Although the islands are located on the outskirts of the Paracas Reserve, they are protected by Peruvian state legislation.
The islands are home to a wide variety of seabird species, including the Humboldt penguin, cormorants, boobies and pelicans. On the shores you can see large numbers of sea lions and in the sea it is possible to find dolphins and even whales.
We can also observe the candlestick, a work done by man in the coastal desert, we return to the port of the city of Paracas. Here we will board our car to the city of Ica and we will reach the desert of Huacachina, where we will have a lot of fun, here we will ride in the famous sandbox cars and do some sandboarding, then continue our trip to the city of Nasca. Day 04: Nazca Lines – Arequipa.
We will get up at the indicated time to enjoy breakfast, and then have the flight in a plane over the enigmatic Nazca Lines; They are geoglyphs and clear geometric lines in the Peruvian desert. They were made by the ancient Nazca people, who flourished between 200 B.C. C. and 600 a. C. along rivers and streams that flow from the Andes.
The territory is 15 miles wide and runs about 37 miles parallel to the Andes and the sea. The dark red stones and soil have been removed, exposing the lighter colored subfloor and creating the “lines”. There is no sand in this desert. From the air, you can observe geometric lines and shapes, also representations of animals and plants in stylized forms. We will also visit the aqueducts of Cantayoc and the Inca cemetery of Chauchilla. Lunch and in the afternoon bus to Arequipa. Arrival and accommodation at the selected hotel.

Day 05: Arequipa City Tour.
I will have a free morning. In the afternoon we will do the city tour visiting the main attractions of the city. General view of the city from the Mirador de Yanahuara, the Plaza de Armas and its Cathedral, the cloisters of the Iglesia de la Compañía, the Iglesia and Plaza de San Francisco and the extraordinary convent of Santa Catalina, built with volcanic lava and which Dates from the 16th century. Back to the hotel.

Day 06: Arequipa – Colca Canyon.
Departure from Arequipa, passing near the thermal baths of Yura and going up to the Pampa de Cañahuas National Reserve which is 3,800m. Here the landscape is spectacular, as we move forward we will see vicunas and ponds in danger of extinction with Andean geese. We can see many snowy peaks and volcanoes from here. Finishing at the Colca, we stayed at the selected hotel. (Breakfast).

Day 07: Colca Valley – Puno.
The trip will be very early to reach the Cruz del Condor viewpoint, a few kilometers before Cabanaconde, where the Colca Canyon begins. Here we can observe the Andean condors and other birds, flying over the valley and posing on inaccessible platforms, these birds circulate gaining height and provide impressive photographic opportunities. Condors are great and one cannot help but be amazed by these creatures. Here we will have a good view of the flight of the condors, as well as the depth of the canyon. In the afternoon we will continue our trip to the city of Puno.

Day 08: City of Puno – Lake Titicaca.
Our will be early, here we will have a boat trip on the islands of the Uros and Taquile on Lake Titicaca. Our first stop is the floating islands of the Uros indigenous group that maintain their ancestral traditions and customs, then we continue to Taquile, where the members of this island will welcome us and give you an idea of their ancient traditions and customs. Lunch on the island and an opportunity to take spectacular photos about the disturbing beauty of Lake Titicaca. I return to our hotel.

Day 09: City of Puno – Cusco.
Early in the morning, transfer to the bus station to take the tourist bus to Cusco. It will be a long way, we will have stops and guided visits to the Inca sites of Andahuaylillas, Raqchi and Pikillaqta. We will have lunch halfway in a restaurant in the city of Sicuani. Then we continue with our trip, to reach the city of Cusco, transfer to the selected hotel.

Day 10: Cusco City – City Tour.
Breakfast and then we will have a morning tour of the city of Cusco, here we will visit the following places: La Catedral, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun, the most important of the Inca ceremonial sites). Then we will visit, Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. We return to our hotel.

Day 11: Tour to the Sacred Valley.
this day, we will board our private vehicle, to make our trip through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Later, we will have the opportunity to visit the local Pisac market, where many local people sell their handmade textiles. At lunch we will have the opportunity to eat a delicious buffet lunch at the Inka House restaurant, with traditional Andean food and music. We continue to Ollantaytambo, the most important Inca fortress. Probably built by the great Inca ruler, Pachacútec in the 1460s, it was the site of the defeat of Hernando Pizarro by Manco Inca in 1536.
Built with finely cut polygonal stones and blocks of rhyolite, or pink granite, the fortress and the town Local represent the best of Inca architecture. The large blocks worked, weighing up to 100 tons, were removed from a site over a thousand vertical feet above the valley floor using a variety of techniques, one of them stone hammers, then slid down and crossed the Urubamba River, moving for several kilometers to reach the construction site. Sloping ramps were built to raise the blocks several hundred feet uphill to the construction area. Upon return we will pass through the town of Chincheros, visiting local textile businesses. Day 12: Cusco – City of Machu Picchu.
After breakfast, we board our transport to Ollantaytambo station, from where we will travel by train Expedition to Machu Picchu. Considered one of the best train trips in the world. We will descend 1300 meters through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and follow the Urubamba River until the last stop in Aguas Calientes. Hotel in the town of Aguas Calientes.

Day 13: Inca Site of Machu Picchu – Cusco.
We are the first to visit the city of Machu Picchu, where we can see the sunrise in one of the places of great spirituality. Early risers can walk through a beautiful road to Machu Picchu. We will take the 20-minute bus trip to Machu Picchu Here in the city our guide will explain the history and myths surrounding this archaeological wonder.
Machu Picchu, the famous lost city of the Incas, is one of the most magical and mysterious places on Earth! It is located 2,430m above sea level in the middle of a tropical forest. Built from precisely sculpted white granite blocks, carefully joined with the exposed stone of the mountain, the site may be the best architectural achievement in the new world. We took the bus for our return to Aguas Calientes for lunch. And board the train back to Cusco. Reception and transfer to our Hotel.

Day 14: Rainbow Mountain Trek.
We will leave the city of Cusco early, at 4.40 to 5.00 a.m., then we begin our incredible adventure, we will travel for approximately 2.30 to 3.00 hours in our private van through the southern valley until we reach the town of Tintingo, which is 3,800. msnm, where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast, then we will continue our journey towards the beginning of the path called Killiwani (4,800 meters above sea level). Along this road there are stunning views of agricultural terraces, canyons and snowy mountains. Once you arrive at the beginning of the trail, our Guide will give you a small introduction of the area, to finally begin a walk approximately 1.30 hours along a road with a gradual rise of approximately 35 degrees, during the walk we will have the opportunity to appreciate a variety of South American camelids, and beautiful places around the snowy Ausangate.
At 11.45 am Approximately we will arrive at our destination the mountain of colors that is 5000.msnm. Here you will have enough time to enjoy this landscape. After our visit to the mountain of colors, we will return to the place where our transport is located for approximately 1.30 hours, then we will return to Tintingo, where our lunch is waiting for us. After lunch and a short break, we begin the trip back to the city of Cusco arriving at approximately 5.30 p.m.

Day 15: Free day of Cusco.
You will have a quiet day with many opportunities for shopping. If you plan to walk the streets of Cusco, or visit places on your own, do some shopping in the city or just go at your own pace. On the contrary, if you decided to book a full day of optional tours.
This is our last group activity, while we prepare to leave Peru, our farewell dinner will include a folk show of approximately 1 hour and a half, a large selection of appetizers, main courses and desserts. However, drinks are not included. Roundtrip transportation to the hotel is provided. Enjoy music, dances and a very pleasant local atmosphere as we say goodbye to the wonderful Land of the Incas, its people, its history and its culture.

Day 16: Transfer to the airport to Lima.

WHAT YOU NEED TO TAKE.
We recommend bringing as little as possible, but bring what you need. Don’t worry, if you forget something, you can probably buy it in Lima or Cusco once you arrive. Tourist shops abound and sell a wide range of items, from water bottles and first aid kits to hiking equipment. You can also rent hiking equipment in Cusco, which can be a good option if you do not want to travel to Peru with a lot of heavy hiking and camping equipment.
