Overview
Arequipa Tours & Colca canyon: city was founded on August 15, 1540, under the name of (Villa Hermosa de Nuestra Señora de la Asunta), in the name of the Marquis Francisco Pizarro and on September 22, 1541, the monarch Carlos V, in Cédula Real orders that call it (City of Arequipa). Currently it is considered the third most tourist city in Peru, for the different tourist attractions it has, within the city and surroundings.
ITS TOURIST ATTRACTIONS:
it extends over an area of 332 hectares, having been declared by Unesco as (Cultural Heritage of Humanity). The historical and monumental heritage that it houses and its various scenic and cultural spaces make it a receiving city for national and international tourism, in its historic center the colonial and republican religious architecture stands out as a product of a mixture of Spanish and indigenous characteristics, which constituted a own stylistic school called (Escuela Arequipeña) whose influence reached Potosí (Bolivia).
The Caylloma province:
generically designated as “Colca”, is part of the department of Arequipa, in Peru, and is located in the extreme northeast of this region. The province has the Colca Canyon as its main stage and it is in its surroundings that the populations that identify it have settled.
Caylloma, whose name comes from one of the towns of the place, has an area of 11,990.24 km² and borders the department of Cuzco on the north, with the provinces of Camaná and Arequipa on the south, with the department of Puno on the the east, with the province of Castilla to the west and the province of Condesuyos to the northwest.
The Colca Valley:
It is one of the largest tourist destinations in Peru. It is located in the province of Caylloma. Colca comes from the words Collaguas and Cabanas, two ethnic groups that lived along the Colca River. This canyon has a depth of 4160 meters.

Itinerary
DAY 01.- Arequipa Tours & Colca canyon
City Tour: we will visit the impressive white city, in order to know its main tourist attractions. This tour includes sites like him, Santa Catalina Monastery, Arequipa Cathedral, the Company of Jesus Church, San Francisco Complex and the beautiful Miradores de Carmen Alto and Yanahuara.
We will pick you up from your hotel, to start our tour of one of the most attractive viewpoints in the city, "Carmen Alto". In this place we will observe the three volcanoes, which surround the city of Arequipa, pre-Inca terraces. Then we move to the Yanahuara district to appreciate the Portals, built in Sillar, we can also see in front of us the misti volcano, and the Church of San Juan Bautista.
Then we go to the Monastery of Santa Catalina, a small ashlar citadel, this monastery was founded in the year 1579, then we will go to the Basilica of Arequipa. Which is located in the Plaza de Armas, with a Neoclassical style, we will continue with the Church of the Society of Jesus and the Dome of San Ignacio, one of the best in a state of preservation, which presents the city of Arequipa. DAY 2: Colca Canyon Full Day
We will pick you up from your hotel very early: From 02:30 to 3:00 a.m. and then continue with our trip, heading north towards the town of Chivay (3 hours), the capital of the Colca Canyon. Here we will have our breakfast, Then we will continue for 2 more hours towards the viewpoint of "La Cruz del Cóndor". Here we can appreciate the depth of the canyon and the flight of the majestic condor.
Also, we will visit picturesque towns such as Yanque and Maca, colonial churches, friendly people who still dress in their typical costumes embroidered by themselves, hundreds of pre-Inca terraces, which are still used by local people to plant corn, quinoa, kiwicha and other Andean products. After lunch we will return to the city of Arequipa, during the return trip we will make a stop at the highest point of our journey in Patapampa (4,800 m / 15,000 feet). Here we will be able to observe snow-capped mountains, vicuñas , alpacas and llamas in their wild state, in addition to birds such as flamingos, Andean eagle "Kara Kara", ducks, herons, etc. (18:00 hrs.
