This is the main luggage you must carry, to make your Inca trail. You will have a limit of kilos for the trail, you must bring a small day pack, so that you can carry your personal belongings such as your camera, water bottle, personal snacks, sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Additionally, you will receive a canvas bag, prior to the information of the Inca trail, one night before. In this duffel bag, you will pack all the necessary things, which will be used on the Inca trail. Please note that you will not have access to these items until you arrive at each camp, as the porters will always be in front of the group every day. According to the regulations of the Inca Trail, the canvas bag must not weigh more than 6 kilograms (12 pounds), including the sleeping bag, this limit is established by the Peruvian state. All bags will be weighed before departure, if you have more than 6 kilograms, it will be your responsibility to carry the additional amount along with your day pack.
You will need a good sleeping bag, which is warm and light for the Inca Trail. Whenever possible, we recommend that you bring your own sleeping bag, however, it can be rented in our offices (for approximately US $ .25), a four-season bag is recommended (or -10). Folding mats are provided for you to use inside your tent when resting.
To make the Inca trail and enter the Inca city of Machu Picchu, you must carry your original passport (a copy is not valid, according to regulations). Store it in a plastic bag to protect it from rain and moisture.
This footwear is very essential, it has to be of good quality, the most important thing is comfort. It is vital to make sure that your boots are well worn and that they feel light on your feet. Ankle support is recommended, but if you already have something comfortable with a good grip on the rocks, don’t be too quick to buy new boots.
A rain jacket or rain poncho is recommended, it can be purchased before your trip. Some hikers also like to wear waterproof pants, however a poncho will usually suffice if it covers your bag, body and legs.
Use when packing your belongings and putting them in the canvas bag, so that your belongings and clothes are dry (make sure not to discard the plastic bags).

During the walk we will find toilets, many of them have a cold water shower, therefore, an opportunity to shower, bring shampoo and shower gel if you want to use it, in addition to wet wipes that they are very necessary in the walk.
Bring a large bottle (1.5 liters) or two or three small water bottles that can be refilled along the way with boiled water, which will be supplied when possible.

Personal medications and basic first aid kit: plastic strips, imodium, alcohol, panadol, aspirin, rehydration sachets. If you have any medication, or are in treatment, take your medications, our guide, during the trip, takes the first aid kit and oxygen balloon, with necessary medications for this type of travel. If you feel bad, you will receive a basic medication from our guide.
Please note that there are no electrical outlets in the way, so be sure to fully charge your phone or camera and have extra spare batteries. Definitely, a power charger will come in handy to always have your phone charged.
Necessary and high in calories: chocolates, cookies, energy bars, dried fruit. Snacks are provided during the walk.
